I'm scared to try punch in punch out. For recording vocals, would I record overtop the section of vocals to be redone and then that appear as a take lane, or would I have to create an additional track to the existing vocal track and keyboard track? I also noticed that you have both the mic track and the analog tracks armed. Is there a reason why both are armed? And then the third analog track you added in has the configuration of All Ins and All Channels. Is this how I would configure the second vocal track I would add in? If I try it, I will try on a duplicate file renamed!

What happens when the part you want to record over doesn't fall evenly within the bars and you can only guesstimate the amount you want to record over and your singing doesn't fall exactly in the selected amount?

Pretty cool works in Ableton 11 even still, but I noticed when it gets to really small sample size on mine it stops making it any smaller than a certain size and can't get the quite super tiny and barely there effect that is the video because of it.

Great tutorial and by far the best mimic of the original d Ramirez sound. Although I can’t get it to work on Ableton 11. Is there something different in these operator versions? Can you please help?

After further tinkling I discovered that this reported method of deleting unused files did not work for me, but maybe does for others. When I went to that Unused File button, it did point to unused files which I deleted but I noticed also hundreds of small audio takes that were not being used in the present saved project which were not listed in the Unused Files section (which comes up when you hit the SHOW button) of File Management. The only surefire way of figuring out what was unused was to turn ALL audio tracks into Consolidated files, which are stored in the Consolidate folder. Then I could be certain that all those hundreds of audio files NOT listed in Unused Files when using File Management as this video suggests were not being used, and those are stored in Recorded. I could then delete all of them. But the newly consolidated audio files are stored in the Processed folder (not the Recorded folder), so by deleting the Recorded folder contents, you are deleting anything not being used at the moment. However, WARNING, you will lose all audio in your project if you delete the Recorded folder contents without first CONSOLIDATING your audio tracks, which then stores all audio now in the Processed / Consolidate folder. Also, I haven't done the math yet, but it could be that deleting Recorded folder audio but keeping consolidated audio in the Processed folder ends up saving little computer space given consolidated files might be huge times bigger when small audio are consolidated into one file.

Newbie here - when you duplicate the clip and fade from one to another, you mentioned you changed the chord. Can you select which chords you fade into? For example if I have a particular chord progression in mind?

I remember when AL 8 was cutting-edge stuff. Now it looks rather cheap compared to AL 11. I suppose it's the high contrast? It really somehow just looks incredibly dated, even though it feels like just last year this is the program I was using.
